After the war not much is left on aerial photographs and satellite imagery.. but found amongst the archive of the lost are some old pictographs that detail the area.. here are some of those images..== Handle With Care
Berger settlement
Berger Settlement has a population of about 100 people including average working class wastelanders and tradesmen. There is also a Lawbringer office as well as a Talon Merc Company headquarters. Berger settlement boasts a fine clinic as well as a secure jailhouse.
Each drawn square on the map represents a building not present on satellite imagery
==============================================
Hedges
The hedge areas just north of Berger Settlement a maze of concealed areas. A large watch tower provides a vantage point to overlook the area. Outlaws often stash their stolen goods in this area, but many are killed or captured afterward and never return to collect their bounty. The Hedges are often a lucrative area for scavengers.
Strategically, the area offers choke points that are easy to defend as well as an observation tower that allows for long sight lines in every direction. The Brotherhood of Steel as well as the Enclave both want control of this area.
==============================================
War-zone
The battle between the Brotherhood of Steel and the Enclave has been raging outside of Berger Settlement for some time. Each side digging their trenches, maneuvering carefully around each other’s emplacements, trying to gain the advantage. Over a mile of trenches sits dreadfully close to Berger Settlement, and occasionally, the battle spills into town and upsets the peace.
Due to repeated uses of small-scale nuclear devices, the area is a variable hot-spot of deadly radiation.
Despite being war-torn and irradiated, It is considered the most valuable terrain in the conflict between the BoS and the Enclave.
Leftover and abandoned supplies can be found throughout the trench network for anyone daring enough to go looking.
==============================================
Radiation Zones
Each zone of the map has an admin station that will double as a “hospital” or KIA collection point. Depending on which zone you die in, you must proceed to the nearest hospital to re-insert into the game. Even if the hospital is not friendly to you, you must visit the nearest hospital to get a check in time. Brotherhood of Steel and Enclave may only re-spawn in hospitals of zones they control. Otherwise, they must check into the nearest hospital and be transferred to their home base hospital.
Each Zone contains a specific amount of radiation. If you die, whatever the zone radiation is in that area is the amount of radiation you will receive upon checking into the hospital, minus any anti-radiation benefits.
