Any player, but especially wastelanders, may bring from home a lockable "lock box" to store their items in. The lock box must adhere to these simple rules: - You have to carry it down to the field and back by yourself. You will not be allowed to drive a vehicle to carry your humongous box down there.
- Your lock box should never contain personal items, only in-game items
- Your lock box should be clearly marked or identifiable with a name, a number, a symbol, etc. Something that is recognizable
- Your lock box must have 2 keys. One that is for you to use and one that is lootable. The lootable key must have a key chain or other identifiable tag that will connect it to the markings on your lock box. If someone wants to loot your key, you must give it to them
- If you do not wish to participate in this mechanic, don't bring a lock box.
The purpose of the lock box is to give players flexibility on what items they will carry on their person while "on mission." This gives each player a personal stash so that they can control the risk they will take with high value items while out in the wasteland. If your key is looted, you can pursue the person who took it, or place a bounty on the key. Lock Boxes carry the same loot limits as a person. 5 caps, 1 item, and an ammo tube. A single person cannot rob a lockbox blind. If multiple people are in a group and enter a lockbox, the entire group may still only loot the single person limit.
