Your status card contains two sets of information
Radiation Level
Karma
Due to the nature of Super Mutants, they do not utilize a status card at any time during the game.
Radiation Level
- A series of punch-able marks on a scale that will indicate how much radiation you have taken.
- Radiation is permanent and can only be completely reset to zero through extensive radiation medication therapy. This is a total card replacement and does not come cheaply.
- Without the aid of preventative drugs or other means, you will always take at least 1 rad as a penalty when you die, and possibly more depending on circumstances
- Once you have received enough punches, you will gain radiation sickness. For each level of rad sickness, your respawn time will increase by 5 minutes, making your need for radiation meds even greater.
Karma
- Karma is tracked as part of your conscience.
- When you take quests for good or evil factions, your card will be punched accordingly. Completing that quest and claiming the reward will increase your karma in either a good or evil direction.
- Karma is how faction leaders and maybe other players will determine how to treat you in role play. If you are more good than evil, you will generally be well received by Good factions, but if you are more Evil than good, you will likely not be as well regarded by a Good faction.
- In the grand finale of this event, all mostly evil players will be allied together in the final battle against all mostly good players. Throughout the event you should keep in mind who you are fighting for and act accordingly.
