Armor
Armor is a means for you to avoid damage in the game. There are two types of armor, each very different in use. Armor can be worn on up to 3 areas of the body at a time.
Anti Melee
•Sports Pads can be used to prevent damage from foam melee weapons. Hockey pads, football pads, soccer pads, etc. Note: Helmets do not count as headshots in melee are not counted at all.
•Leather armor, or other improvised armor may be approved on a case by case basis
•All anti-melee armor must be marked with a visible blue X made from either tape or paint
Ballistic Armor
•Ballistic armor is made from approx 1/4’’ corrugated cardboard.
•Cardboard armor is cut to very specific standards and covered with aluminum foil or painted a specific color to represent what kind of armor it is.
•Ballistic armor may be purchased or crafted in game and worn on up to 3 locations on the body.
•Ballistic armor is recognized by its 1’’ daylight orange border that is either painted on or taped on.
•Cardboard armor is active at all times when worn and will absorb any hit from a BB.
•Once the armor takes significant damage, it may become unusable and have to be repaired or salvaged.
•Amor condition is determined in the hospital before respawn by the attending admin
Valid Armor Locations
•Left Shoulder
•Right Shoulder
•Chest
•Back
•Left Arm
•Right Arm
•Left Leg
•Right Leg
Limitations
•In general, Armor that is being worn cannot be looted due to the time it takes to remove and wear the pieces. Armor can be looted from lock boxes, bags, shops, or anywhere else it is not being worn.
•A player can wear either ballistic armor OR anti-melee armor in the same location, but not both.
•If ballistic armor is placed over anti-melee armor, then that area will become immune to BBs, but become vulnerable to melee attack.
•Alternately, Sports Pads may be taped with Orange Tape to show that they are ballistic
This method is preferred when dealing with costume armor
When durable sports padding is used as ballistic armor, the the player will be asked to pay a basic maintenance fee per piece of armor to ensure fair participation. A fee will be assessed per piece throughout the day. This fee will not exceed 10% of the total armor value per insertion.
If you are found to be abusing the armor system in any way, you will be asked to remove all armor and play without it.
